Amped up safety in the largest construction site in Europe, a reconstruction endeavour. The new guidelines have been read by the employees of the enterprises that come to L’Aquila from out of town. Before resuming works, swabs tests must be undergone at the Collemaggio Centre: the entire team of workers from Cobar SpA, based in Altamura, took part in the tests before reopening. Cobar Spa currently has open worksites on: Rome, at the former Istituto Poligrafico della Zecca dello Stato and at the Colosseum; two construction sites in L’Aquila, at the former Istituto delle Suore on Via Roio and one in Via Crispomonti. Moreover, the crater currently includes around 7 active construction sites, including those in: Villa Santa Lucia, Villa Sant’Angelo and Sant’Eusanio Forconese. Cobar SpA is also responsible for the construction project of the new multipurpose school in Via Puglie in Avezzano.
The company Cobar Spa, represented its sole manager, Mr.Vito Matteo Barozzi, has strictly respected the measures provided for the reopening. Mr. Vito Matteo Barozzi himself was the first to undergo serological and swab tests. In L’Aquila, around 50 employees and around 100 subcontractors are currently working for Cobar SpA. All employees have undergone Covid-19 preventive testing and all of them tested negative. As of today, the company has reopened with close observance of protocol.
In addition to having the required PPE protection devices already provided for site safety, in compliance with the new protocol, all workers have been equipped with FFP2 masks and goggles. In addition, a container has been installed at the entrance to the sites to act as a quarantine area for those who, at any time, show symptoms of Covid-19. The site is managed by highly trained personnel that strictly adhere to and adopt all precautionary measures.
