– for accessible caves, construction of partition barriers and filling the cave with a cement mix;
– for caves deemed not accessible because of collapses, the possibility of concrete filling will be considered after the results of accurate feasibility studies beyond the collapsed section;
– for deeper caves, inaccessible due to collapses, sizeable amounts of concrete will be poured from above;
– for areas in which geognostic surveys (sound, electrical and seismic tomography) have detected uneven material and/or anomalies correlated to the presence of caves, an additional survey will be carried out to verify the actual presence of caves and their condition. Additional surveys of this type are also planned in areas where the inspected caves are entirely filled with sand/silt deposits. The restoration of the interested hypogeal caves is a continuation of the first safety interventions started by the municipal administration in the “Chiancone-Fornaci” area, on Via Copenhagen and on the southern part of Via Parigi, along with interventions on via Barcellona.
