[...]Read MoreThe restoration and improvement interventions, carried out by Cobar, on the load-bearing structure of the complex were carried out as part of an overall functional framework, aimed at returning the building to pre-earthquake functionality, as well as obtaining, thanks to local improvement interventions, an overall strengthening in structural anti-seismic stability. The bulk of interventions on the structure is part of the recommendations detailed in the “Guidelines for the Repair and Strengthening of Structural Elements, Cladding and Partitions”.
Within the interventions foreseen by the Guidelines, interventions included in the following categories have been carried out:
– repair of damaged non-structural elements (paragraph A.1 of the Guidelines);
– local repair of structural elements (paragraph A.4);
– work on undamaged external walls and facings aimed at preventing risks of collapses (paragraph B.1);
– local reinforcement interventions of individual parts and/or elements of masonry structures, according to §8.4.3 from the Ministerial Decree 14.01.08 and Circular n. 617 from 02.02.09 (paragraph B.2).
